In 2nd Class, we recently explored many elements of the natural world. The children then created some inspiring pieces of art, using paint and pastels .

Christmas celebrations

  On Monday 19th December, there was an 'open morning' for parents/guardians of children to visit the school and sit in on some Christmas activities in class. The children really enjoyed the experience, as did the adults. Also, the school choir sang some beautiful Christmas songs.  On the 20th of December, Santa visited to school and gave each child a present. Furthermore, on the 21st December, the children enjoyed fun activities in class, as well as a Christmas party. Enjoy the holidays-Mr McGuire

Archaeological dig with ‘The Big Dig’

  On the 2 nd May, the children from 2 nd class had the wonderful opportunity to experience a day in the life of an archaeologist. As part of ‘The Big Dig’ experience, children had the chance to handle artefacts and to experience an archaeological excavation. Class Trip to a Play: Ballyfermot Library

  On Tuesday 18th October 2022, the children from 2nd class (both Mr McGuire's and Ms Murtagh's class) went to Ballyfermot Library to watch a spectacular performance of 'The Giggler Treatment' by Roddy Doyle. The children really enjoyed the performance, which was a collaboration between the Theatre Commission and 'The Ark'. It was adapted and composed by Fionn Foley and directed by Sophie Motley.
