Seachtaine na Gaeilge

Image
The children in 3rd class really enjoyed 'Seachtaine na Gaeilge'. Together we have come to realise how important it is to respect and appreciate our native language. As a result, the children are determined to make a huge effort to speak the beautiful language everyday by saying simply phrases and by showing an interest and passion in the language. March 2021: Welcome Back

Image
It was fantastic to return to school this week after the second 'lockdown'. It was great to see all of the boys and girls from 3rd class once again, as well as all of the other students in St Gabriel's.  Spring is here and many flowers and trees are beginning to bloom. I also hope that all the students in St Gabriel's will continue to grow and develop all of their special skills and talents over the coming weeks. Welcome back Mr McGuire

2021 Welcome Back 3rd Class

Image
Hello everyone, first and foremost happy new year and I hope you are all safe and well. Due to the recent closure of schools, due to Covid-19, teachers will be mainly connecting with parents/guardians/ pupils through ‘Aladdin Connect’. Therefore, I would strongly recommend that the ‘Aladdin Connect App’ should be downloaded onto your mobile phone, as its more user friendly. I will keep in regular contact via Aladdin Connect. Stay safe and God bless. Kind regards Mr McGuire

This week was ‘Science Week’ in school. From the 9 th to the 13 th of November, the children in 3 rd class learned about ‘science and the world around us’. We explored the contribution made from scientists in the past i.e. Marie Curie and the present i.e. creating a vaccine for Covid-19. Furthermore the pupils learned about Magnetism and Electricity through using a range of ‘hands on’ resources.
